The Fundraiser’s Guide to Data-Driven Strategy Original Broadcast: May 20, 2014
The current philanthropic landscape is characterized by a new economic climate, advances in technology, and a shift towards data-driven fundraising. Fundraising competition for non-profits has grown significantly in recent years. As a result, fewer funds are available for distribution and donors are limiting the number of causes they support. While donors remain generous, they are increasingly more cautious and measured in their approach, requiring an evidence base to justify how their gifts will make an impact. These factors have incubated new ideas and approaches, leading to a new era of philanthropic innovation. In this presentation, we will discuss how data can drive strategic decision making and donor cultivation and solicitation, as well as help inform the resource development strategies that you should consider.
